The Project Engineer supports the Project Managers and division leadership in overseeing national and international projects within the energy sector. This role is instrumental in easing the administrative and organizational workload of Project Managers, while ensuring the smooth execution of project tasks and deliverables.The Project Engineer plays a key role in project planning, monitoring, and execution, and provides technical assistance to colleagues in using tools like MS Project, Jira, and Confluence. Additionally, the role is responsible for preparing documentation, tracking deadlines, and coordinating key project activities and reports.

What is the role about?
As a Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the project execution lifecycle, supporting cross-functional teams in achieving project goals and maintaining high standards of delivery.
Key Resposiblities :
Assist Project Managers and division leadership with planning, controlling, and implementing project activities, particularly in project tracking and reporting.
Support in the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including status reports and portfolio summaries.
Provide technical support to project teams in the use of MS Project, Jira, and Confluence for task and issue tracking.
Coordinate scheduling and prepare documentation for meetings, including agendas and follow-ups.
Record meeting minutes and ensure timely documentation and tracking of key action items.
Monitor project timelines, ensure adherence to deadlines, and support escalation of delays where necessary.
Manage the technical administration of the Progressive Web App (PWA) used in project workflows.
Assist Project Managers with monthly billing activities, including tracking hours logged by project team members.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM, PMP, Prince2 Foundation) is an advantage.
1–3 years of relevant experience in a project coordination or support role, preferably in the energy or IT sector.
Familiarity with project lifecycle processes and reporting frameworks.
Experience working in a multinational or cross-functional environment is a plus.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Project Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with MS Project, Jira, and Confluence is essential.
Documentation & Reporting: Strong skills in preparing project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.
Time & Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and dependencies efficiently.
Analytical Thinking: Basic understanding of project controlling, portfolio reporting, and data interpretation.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
Team Support: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support Project Managers.
Technical Familiarity: Understanding of digital tools and applications such as Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in tracking schedules, deadlines, and billing hours.
